New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily shut down a vital feature which permits you to alter the address of your Aadhaar card's address with no documentary proof of address.

UIDAI allows customers of Aadhaar cards to change their address without any form of documentation. Aadhaar card holders are able to update their address if they accept the authenticity that the address verifyer. A verifier of address could be a friend, relative, landlord or family member that will allow the Aadhaar card owner to verify their address.

UIDAI has now stopped this feature. UIDAI replied to an Aadhaar Card user by tweeting the ability to update the address on the Aadhaar Card using an Address Validation Form was canceled. UIDAI has asked its Aadhaar provider to alert the user that they have the option to update their address using a valid PoA document.

Dear Residents Dear Resident: The address Validation Letter service has been suspended until further notice. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
